Placemaking and Portland
Today we touched base with the Civic Life team - it’s been a busy year already, including their move to being managed by Portland City Commissioner Dan Ryan.
As of this month, Ryan is the Culture and Livability Commissioner. This includes managing a new portfolio of City Bureaus: Portland Parks & Recreation, Office of Equity & Human Rights, Civic Life, and the City’s Arts Portfolio.
In today’s weekly meeting with the PEP Project Team, Director Montoya shared deeper insights about the concepts of culture and livability as they relate to city government.
