Mahindra to Soon Launch the All-Electric XUV 3XO

Mahindra is one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, widely known for its rugged vehicle designs and powerful performance. Among its offerings, the Mahindra XUV 3XO has become a well-known subcompact SUV in the Indian market. With its modern and urban-friendly design, the vehicle has caught the attention of younger, city-based customers who appreciate compactness without sacrificing performance.

With a growing shift in customer preference from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric alternatives, Mahindra has taken a significant step forward. The company is now preparing to launch an all-electric version of the XUV 3XO, known as the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV. This new electric SUV is expected to retain the stylish and feature-rich character of the ICE version while offering strong electric performance and practical range. It aims to be a smart choice for eco-conscious Indian buyers.

According to initial estimates, the XUV 3XO EV may offer a driving range of over 350 km on a single charge, supported by a 35 kWh battery pack which will be one of the smallest battery units Mahindra has deployed in any of its electric cars so far.

Stylish and Compact Design

Although Mahindra has not officially revealed the design of the upcoming XUV 3XO EV, spy shots and industry reports suggest it will carry forward much of the design language from its ICE counterpart. At the front, the SUV is expected to feature a split LED headlamp setup, with round projector units and C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

Reports also indicate that Mahindra may equip the XUV 3XO EV with aero-optimized alloy wheels, further enhancing its efficiency and futuristic appeal. The compact proportions combined with sharp styling elements are likely to make it a visually appealing option in the electric SUV segment.

Powerful Performance and Expected Driving Range

The XUV 3XO EV is expected to deliver a robust performance despite its compact size. According to insider sources, the SUV will likely be powered by a 35 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This would make it Mahindra’s smallest battery offering in an EV to date, but still capable of delivering solid performance.

Thanks to this battery setup, the XUV 3XO EV is expected to offer a driving range exceeding 350 kilometers, making it suitable for both city commutes and occasional highway drives. While these performance numbers are yet to be confirmed by Mahindra officially, the early estimates suggest promising efficiency and usability for Indian consumers.

What Could Be the Price?

As of now, Mahindra has not made any formal announcement regarding the launch date or official pricing of the XUV 3XO EV. However, reliable sources suggest that the company may debut this electric subcompact SUV around mid-2025. Furthermore, there are expectations that Mahindra will showcase the vehicle at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Once launched, the XUV 3XO EV is likely to compete with other affordable electric SUVs in India, offering a strong mix of technology, design, and sustainable mobility.
