Kia, the renowned South Korean automobile manufacturer and a subsidiary of Hyundai Motors, is preparing to expand its presence in the Indian automotive market. Known globally for its innovative features and stylish designs, Kia is gaining popularity not only internationally but also among Indian consumers.
With the rising demand for electric vehicles in India and a growing interest in internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles featuring modern technology, Kia is gearing up to introduce new models that cater to both segments. According to sources, Kia is planning to launch three new vehicles in India: the Kia Syros, Kia Carens Facelift, and Kia EV6 Facelift. These vehicles are expected to offer a blend of advanced features and affordability, making them great options for Indian buyers.
Kia Syros
The Kia Syros SUV was first introduced in the global market in December 2024. Reports suggest that this compact SUV might make its Indian debut on February 1, 2025. Kia has already opened pre-bookings for the Syros in India, with a booking amount of just ₹25,000.
Under the hood, the Syros is expected to offer a 1.0-liter tGDi petrol engine as well as a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine. Inside the cabin, it may feature dual 10.25-inch infotainment displays and could come equipped with a panoramic sunroof, enhancing the driving experience with premium touches.
Kia Carens Facelift

Kia is also preparing to launch the facelifted version of its popular MPV, the Kia Carens, in India. This new version is likely to hit the market around mid-2025. The updated Carens has already been spotted multiple times during road testing across India.
Based on spy shots of the test prototype, the Carens facelift is expected to come with redesigned headlamps, connected LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), and new LED tail lamps, offering a refreshed and modern look while retaining its family-friendly appeal.
Kia EV6 Facelift
The EV6, Kia’s flagship electric vehicle, is also set to receive a facelift for the Indian market. Following its global debut in 2024, the updated EV6 is anticipated to be showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo in India.
One of the key upgrades in the EV6 facelift will be its larger battery pack, expected to be 84 kWh, which will offer an impressive range of 494 kilometers on a single charge. This makes the EV6 facelift a strong contender in India’s growing EV segment, combining performance with extended range.
These upcoming Kia models reflect the company’s commitment to delivering advanced and feature-packed vehicles across segments. Whether you’re looking for a cutting-edge electric vehicle or a modern ICE-powered car, Kia’s upcoming launches in 2025 are worth keeping an eye on.
